A Meditation For Women

In honour of National Women's Day I thought I would give all my beautiful yogi's a meditation to call upon the Mata Shakti. This meditation comes from Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. We are calling upon your own inner power, to guide you through difficult times. This Mantra allows you to live in your power and live as the goddess that you are. 

 

 

 

Posture:

Sitting in easy pose with a straight spine. Make a fist of your hands with both index fingers stretched out and pointing straight up. Elbows are bent and relaxed by side.

Mantra:

Adi Shakti, Adi Shakti, Adi Namo, Namo Namo

(I bow to the primal power)

Sarb Shakti, Sarb Shakti, Sarb Shakti, Namo Namo

(I bow to the all encompassing power and energy)

Pritham Bhagvati, Pritham Bhagvati, Pritham Bhagvati, Namo Namo

(I bow to that which creates gods)

Kundalini Mata Shakti, Mata Shakti, Namo Namo

(I bow to the creative power of the Kundalini, the divine mother power)

 

Practice this meditation for 11- 31 minutes and feel the power well up inside you.
